About the Group

“Fangsong Taikyokukai” is the Tai Chi circle at the University of Tokyo. We usually practice Tai Chi on Mondays, Thursdays(in Komaba) and Wednesdays(in Hongo). In addition, you can study divination (based on the Book of Changes) and Chinese medicine if you are interested in them. Let’s practice Tai Chi!

The University of Tokyo Percussion Ensemble
In the Komaba Festival 2020, our "online" concert of percussion ensemble will be a little different from our previous ones. Takarajima, which is famous as a piece for brass bands, is played by all 17 performers. You will be impressed by the powerful sound made by more than 10 kinds of musical instruments. In addition, our concert is not only aurally but also visually enjoyable. We have musical performances using small percussion instruments or familiar things like buckets. We hope you find the various aspects of percussion ensemble. You can surely enjoy our online concert even if you are not familiar with percussion ensemble. We are looking forward to your visit!
