About the Komaba Festival
What is the Komaba Festival?
The Komaba Festival, one of the largest university festivals in Japan, is held every November at the Komaba I Campus of the University of Tokyo.
Unfortunately, we are not able to decorate the actual campus this year for the Festival, but many wonderful projects will be available online for you. Please come and enjoy unforgettable moments with us!
The 71st Komaba Festival will be held on the following dates:
November 21 (Sat.), 2020 9AM - 6PM
November 22 (Sun.), 2020 9AM - 6 PM
November 23 (Mon.), 2020 9AM - 5 PM
Address by the chairperson
Due to the spread of COVID-19, we have decided to hold the Komaba Festival online this year. Right in the middle of the beautiful season of golden gingko leaves, the campus is usually filled with numerous outdoor stalls, exhibits, performances and cheers during the Festival.
Unfortunately, we will not be able to see such a view on the campus this year, but our passionate desire to offer the special moments of the Komaba Festival would never be lost.
Despite having many restrictions and difficulties, we have been trying our very best to offer a place for our fellow students to showcase their skills and abilities.
Komaba ZERO Campus, the virtual campus which we set the projects on, will be decorated with our passions and joy. This will be the moment, when the virtual campus will turn into the actual campus where we can savor the special time of the Komaba Festival.
This is also the best chance for all those of you who could not have otherwise come to the campus to join in from your home.
The 71st Komaba Festival is now ready for you.
We are looking forward to seeing you at the Festival!
